Description
English: The Burning Cliff below White Nothe, Dorset, England. The Burning Cliff in Ringstead Bay takes its title from an event which occurred in the early 19th century when fire broke out on the slumped cliff face due to the combustion of bituminous shale ignited by the decomposition of pyrite in the rock... or at least that's my understanding of it.
