The Cavern Club
Between 1957 and 1973, most of the worlds leading artistes
played at the Cavern Club. Although synonymous with the
history of the Beatles, the Club hosted performances by the
greatest names in the history of jazz, rock, pop, blues and
soul. The club closed in 1973 only to re-open at its original
address of 10 Mathew Street (across the street from here)
in 1984. The Club, although remoselled, still atracts world-
wide media attension and   the 1990's great luminaries of
the British pop scene such as OASYS and DODGY have
performed there. The Cavern Pub and its exterior "The
Cavern Wall of Fame" is a tribute to those celebrated and
revered icons of twentieth century popular culture.
