Description

One of Jackson's few antebellum structures (Sherman burned down almost everything in the Jackson area), The Cedars is thought to have been built around 1840. The Fondren Renaissance Foundation raised money to restore the house a few years ago, and it now serves as an art gallery and a venue for concerts and other community events.

This is an image of a place or building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the United States of America. Its reference number is 77000787.
