| Description |
English: The Cloth Hall, Water Lane is a grade II* listed building (formerly listed as Turk Farmhouse or The Cloth Hall) dating from the 15th century and described as being timber-framed and close-studded, with plaster infilling. Part of the ground floor (was) rebuilt in red brick, the north-west end of the first floor and part of the centre over-sail(ing) on the protruding end of the floor joists and brackets. Two planning applications refs 15/01560/AS & 15/01546/AS were made through Ashford Borough Council to convert the barn (seen here with scaffolding round it) into holiday-let accommodation but both were withdrawn. |
