Description
English: The East Harbour in Winter

This photograph of the East Harbour was taken from the Old Pier and shows the Coronia (a pleasure boat) moored up for the winter.

The Coronia in this photograph was the second Scarborough pleasure boat to hold this name. The first vessel of that name was sold in 1968 and transferred to Bournemouth as the Bournemouth Queen. The Coronia here is the renamed Yorkshire Lady. (Text from Simplon - The Passenger Ship Website: http://www.simplonpc.co.uk .)

In the distance is the South Cliff with hotels and apartments along the Esplanade and beyond the hill is Oliver's Mount (TA040870).
