| Description |
English: The Entry to the Aylesbury Arm with Marsworth Pound beyond. The top gate of Lock 1 (and for all the other locks on the Aylesbury Arm 1228440) is single, unlike the double top gates on the Grand Union Canal. The sluice is in the side of the lock rather than in the gate.
The building to the left is the Waterways Office - and a canal signpost can be seen behind the narrowboat moored on the other side of the Marsworth Pound. |
