Description

Photo caption: Iwo Jima, March 1945. First to land: Marines flock around the first huge B-29 Superfortress bomber to land on the Iwo airfield. The bomber was put down on Motoyama Airfield Number One in am emergency landing. It was returning from a raid on Japan where it was crippled.
