Summary edit

Description
English: The Freud Museum 20 Maresfield Gardens was Freud's home for the last year of his life - he died here in September 1939 - after he was driven out of Austria by Nazi harrassment. Subsequently it was the home of his daughter Anna until her death in 1982. According to her wish, it was opened as a museum in 1986. In it can be seen Freud's library and study, complete with analytic couch, recreated for him exactly as they were in Vienna, and his collection of antiquities and paintings. A fascinating place to visit. See www.freud.org.uk
