Summary edit

Description
English: The General Purpose House, Errigle. When my late uncle Dennis Allen got married in April, 1962, we all went to the wedding, I was nearly the age to be allowed legally on the public roads, not that it made much difference, because I had free rein round the lane-ways on the tractor. One of my uncles by marriage had an old car, possibly a Morris 8, and for some reason or other, he parked it in this outbuilding, but when we came back from the reception, we met the fire brigade, who had extinguished the flames. Having a few drinks, it didn't quite sink in, but we realised later on that the contents were mostly lost but it didn't ruin Dennis's honeymoon; because there wasn't a lot of money to spare, some of the timbers were re-used and the entire corrugated iron roof was re-fitted and is still in good condition, one of the items that did survive though was my grandad's old turf spade 1058904
