English: The Grantham Canal. There was a regular stream of incoming planes to Nottingham Airport as I was walking along the canal, see 748411 and 748497.
Although the canal has been regularly cleared of reeds there is a small stand left over the winter to provide shelter for wildlife, an example of the wildlife friendly management to be found along the whole length of this disused waterway. |
