English: The Grantham Canal This photograph was taken on the stretch of the canal between Tollerton Road and the site of Lowes Bridge. Nottingham airport is off to the right and Bassingfield Lane and the busy A52 are across the fields to the left. Although well maintained along most of its 33 miles, this canal is not navigable due to dismantled locks and flattened bridges. |
