Summary edit

Description

The Memorial Peace Garden, within Bury St Edmunds' Abbey Gardens, was officially unveiled at the Holocaust Memorial Day service on 27th January 2015.

It commemorates all victims of genocides and also 57 local Jews who were massacred nearby on 19th March, 1190 - Palm Sunday.

The garden lies to the right of the pathways just inside the Abbey Gate, where the Holocaust Day Memorial Service is held every 27th January.
