Summary
editDescriptionThe James Webb Space Telescope Lifted By Crane (25992854755).jpg |
The James Webb Space Telescope was lifted via crane in the cleanroom at NASA Goddard in order to attach it to a rotating stand. Once JWST is attached to the stand, it will eventually be rotated so the flight instruments can be installed in back of the mirror. To the right of the telescope structure, you can see a black latticed box with silver structures inside it. These are the flight instruments. So the entire telescope part of JWST is visible in this image. There is also an animated gif showing the lift. www.flickr.com/photos/nasawebbtelescope/25966191216/sizes/o/ Credit: Maggie Masetti Subscribe to our YouTube channel Follow us on Instagram |
