English: The Lang Craigs - a giant staircase When they are viewed from a distance, one prominent feature of the Lang Craigs as a whole is a stepped ridge which projects from their front, ascending the whole height of the crags in a way that suggests a giant staircase. The photo shows this feature from a vantage point at the edge of the cliffs at the top of the crags.
In the background is the River Clyde, with the double peak of Dumbuck Quarry (NS4274) visible on the near shore, just right of centre. |
