English: The Londs - the southern end 'The Londs' is a narrow alley which links the shops on High Street with the beach further east. It is protected by a conservation order and has hence retained its original character. It is bordered by The Pleasaunce > 1119321 - designed by Edwin Lutyens and dating from 1897-9. The flint and brick house seen at left is home of the Overstrand Conservative Club > 1119359. The brick building adjoining it houses the Post Office > 535116. |
