Dansk: En tegning af mandanen Sitting Rabbit som han forestillede sig mandan-byen Mitutanka (også kendt som Fort Clark Village og kaldt Mih-tutta-hang-kush af Maximilian zu Wied) efter ældre stammemedlemmers beskrivelse af den. Tegningen er fra omkring 1907. I forgrunden ses Missouri River, til venstre anes handelsstationen Fort Clark og til højre er tegnet et lille tilløb til Missouri River. Firkanterne forestiller de nærtliggende majsmarker. I centrum ses byens åbne plads med helligdommen ”Vandene trækker sig tilbage” samt ceremonihytten, der er let genkendelig på sin størrelse og flade facade.
English: The drawing shows the Mandan village Mitutanka (also known as Fort Clark Village and Mih-tutta-hang-kush) as imagined by Mandan artist Sitting Rabbit around 1907, based on informations from older tribal members. Winding in the foreground is Missouri River, to the left is the trading post Fort Clark, to the right is a small tributary and in the center is the plaza with the shrine The Retreat of the Waters. The ceremonial lodge is the large lodge with the flat front. The squares are the corn fields kept by the women in the village.
