English: "It is located 40m. inside cleft, which was created when a large section of the Acropolis rock came apart. It could be entered only by means of a hidden and guarded stairway...The cave was originally discovered by P. Kavvadias in 1896 and was dated by its excavator O. Breener to the 12th century B.C."
