The Akra mound of Bannu is surrounded by fertile lands, usually cultivated with rice. The nearby village posseses public mosques and drinking water coolers for the service of the visitors. Similarly, the people of this region are famous for their hospitality and guidance of the visitors - from the far- flung areas.
