Description
English: The Gangouzi Bridge over a tribute of the Yangtze River near Yichang, China

Original description:After boarding the night before, during breakfast the Yangzi Explorer started to head up the river to the Three Gorges Dam. This section of the Xiling Gorge has not been flooded by the dam, although water levels had previously been raised by the Gezhou Dam at Yichang. We soon began to realise how the Yangzi acts as a 'superhighway' for so much of China's industry, with many large cargo ships and ferries heading up and down river.

Pictures taken during a four day cruise on the Yangzi Explorer from Yichang to Chongqing.
