| Description |
English: The Old Aerodrome Buildings to the North of the A1121 (Boardsides) which were once used for an aerodrome close to Boston. The hangar in the centre of the shot was used by a local aerial crop-spraying company until it was found to be too hit and miss a method of application and the practice died out. In the 1930's Alan Cobhams aerial circus gave some shows of dare devil flying at this location. The main body of the former flying field is now made over to rugby pitches and the new Princess Royal sports stadium. |
