| Description | When I'd originally booked in at YHA Windermere I hadn't realised it was about two miles out of the town, and I could find no way to get there by public transport. But whilst at Kendal hostel I'd got chatting to the warden there and he mentioned that there was a bus and whipped out the details for me. Turned out the bus in question was the open top bus which runs between Windermere and Ambleside and which would now whisk me to within half a mile of the hostel. |
