English: The Queen Adelaide, Swingate The inn takes its name from the wife of King William IV, and this with the age of the building suggests that it dates from the early part of the 19th century. The location on the edge of the community seems unusual until one realises that the area was full of small coal mines. The inn is also well situated on the main bridleway from Nottingham via Strelley to Kimberley. |
