English: The RAF flies the Bala Trench The fault-formed Bala - Tal-y-llyn trench is a major temptation to RAF pilots. On more than one occasion, travelling on the X94 from Dolgellau to Bala, I have encountered on-coming jets flying at window level and sometimes below that. It is quite a surreal experience to look down at a plane from a bus window. |
