Summary

Description
English: The Redlands lagoon, Larne The Redlands lagoon was formed when the Harbour Highway bypass of Larne was built in the mid-70’s. The name comes from the dumping of ore in the days when there was a smelter at Larne harbour. The Redlands has (finally) been redeveloped for warehousing (right). The railway runs, in an arc, from left to right. The ASDA lorry is on the Harbour Highway. In the background the “European Highlander” is arriving from Cairnryan.
