English: The Savile arms on the Savile Arms, Southgate, Elland. The Savile Arms Inn is an early 19C coaching inn. It has some carved stones from an earlier building, and this one on the front wall has the arms of the Savile family, their motto 'Be Fast' and the date 1748. The birds are owls.
