Description
English: The Start of Redcar Rocks Redcar Rocks, stretching for a kilometre out to sea, are scars of mudstone laid down in the Jurassic period. Their presence made the beaching of the local fishing cobbles particularly risky if the correct line was not taken. The sea can be seen breaking over more rocks in the top left hand corner of the picture. These are probably another line of scars known as the Coatham Rocks and lying parallel to these.
