FOUR-CAR TRAIN, type, and are equipped with two General Electric 66-motors.For the contact the new Potter collecting shoe, made by theGeneral Electric Company, is used. It is mounted on an oak COMBINING PASSENGER COACHES, MAIL, EXPRESS AND BAGGAGE SERVICE all the motors with current if only one shoe is in contact withthe third rail. Other furnishings of the cars include Janney couplers, Ander-son-Smith arc headlights and inter-ior lights, Westinghouse automaticair brakes on all cars, and Westing-house motor-driven compressorsand governors. The motor carsweigh about 30 tons each, and afive-car train, including two motorcars and three coaches, or trail cars,weighs, equipped, 130 tons. TRAIN OPERATIONUnder usual operating conditionsthree-car to five-car trains are oper-ated, and four trains is the maxi-mum number on the track at onetime. At certain hours of the day
