Summary
editDescriptionThe Swan at Fradley pub sign, Staffordshire - geograph.org.uk - 1560006.jpg |
English: The Swan at Fradley pub sign, Staffordshire. This is a very popular and busy public house at the junction of the Trent and Mersey and Coventry canals. The Trent and Mersey was an early canal, fully opened by James Brindley in 1777 after an eleven year construction period. The settlement, including warehouses and the pub began to develop after the Coventry Canal arrived (built by three different companies) in 1790. |
