Description
English: The taj mahal is one of the seven wonders of the world. Just by looking at it, one can guess why. This beautiful monument was constructed by the mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. It took a total of 20 years and more than 10,000 workers to complete. It is made from white marble brought from Makrana in Rajasthan. It is situated on the banks of the river Yamuna in Agra. It is a rich example of Mughal architecture.
