The Temple's "Mekhonot and Keeyorot" Traditionally, these strange contraptions called "Mekhonot and Keeyorot" were considered water containers. However, some details in their design, such as their 10- or 11-foot height and other Biblical descriptions, might contradict the common assumption. The ancient biblical word "Mekhonot" may suggest that this contraption had some mechanical purposes since the biblical word 'Mekhonot' means mechanism in modern Hebrew. Also, many other European languages adopted the biblical word 'Mekhonot' as a root word for Mechanism, Mechanized, Mechanic, Machine... Based on these and other facts, the study argues that these contraptions were used as 'mechanical acoustic installations.' Not to forget, their design also included a ratio of 1.6666666∞.
