English: The Tollbooth This is the oldest building in Stonehaven. It was built by Earl Marischal as a store during the construction of Dunnottar Castle. When Stonehaven became the County town in 1600, used as county buildings, the sheriff court house and prison, where three Episcopalian ministers were confined during 1748/49. |
