Description
English:

Outstretched right hand holding a torch (both in patina-color copper) topped by a 24k gold leaf-covered flame.

One of the most recognized parts of the Statue of "Liberty Enlightening the World," the torch has been closed to the public since shortly before the National Park Service was established. Fortunately for virtual visitors around the world, webcams were installed, and views from the "Torchcam" are easy to enjoy-see our homepage!
