Description
English: The Union Inn, Moretonhampstead The Union Inn premises are thought to date from the sixteenth century. Known as The Swan until the early 1800’s, the property was owned by the Church probably as a brewhouse. The name changed to commemorate the Act of Union, which united Ireland with England, Scotland and Wales, in 1801.
