English: The Upper Doethie Valley, Ceredigion This is the present view across Cwm Doethie from north-west of Ty'n Cornel Hostel, (still open for business throughout the year even if it is not marked on your map). Some sparse remains of Nant Gwernog Plantation are in the shadow (top right). Felling of this privately owned area of conifers started in late 2007 and still has not been completed. The timber is being extracted gradually, and sent to a power station at Port Talbot, and a wood processing plant near Ruthin. |
