| Description |
English: Ostensibly the Virgin Mary's House (or so a German nun dreamt) at Seljuk (or Selcuk) Izmir, Turkey, 25 October 2009. The nun - the bedridden (in Germany) and very ill Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich (1774 - 1824) - had visions that the Virgin Mary lived in this house after being taken there by St. John where she spent the remainder of her life. A search for the house based on the visions began after the nun's death and in the late 19th Century it was decided that this house was the one she dreamt of. Hmmm. |
