Description
English: 11 December 1969. The body of 55613 Private (Pte) Robert Buchan, D Company, 6RAR /NZ (ANZAC) (The ANZAC Battalion comprising 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component from the 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment), wrapped in a hutchi and tied in a sling, was winched up by a hovering US Iroquois medical evacuation dustoff helicopter and taken to the morgue at Vung Tau. Pte Buchan was killed in action during Operation Marsden.
