Summary
editDescriptionThe church of All Saints - royal arms - geograph.org.uk - 734565.jpg |
English: The church of All Saints - royal arms. All Saints church has a 12th century nave that is delineated in brown carstone, and the lower part of the tower, situated at the south end of the west wall, is believed to date from the same time. The interior was extensively restored in Victorian times: the benches date from 1846 > 734558 - 734560, the elaborate font cover is from 1855 > 734561 and the plaster cast royal arms (seen here) commemorate Queen Victoria's Jubilee in 1887. One earlier survival is a 17th century tomb slab at the east end of the nave, near the south wall > 734566. The church is kept locked, a key is available. http://www.norfolkchurches.co.uk/skeyton/skeyton.htm |
