English: The church of SS Peter & Paul - south aisle window South aisle window, marking the centenary of the dedication of the church (in 1984) on its present site and commemorating the Dagless family and their association with the parish over several centuries. It took ten years to raise the funds needed and another two to complete the new building. Curiously, its tower stands at the northeastern corner of the building. The architect was JD Sedding and the then Rector of Edgefield was Canon Walter Marcon, who in Norfolk is remembered as the cycling parson - he is commemorated in a roundel in one of the modern church windows (seen here). The west window was originally the east window in the old church; the rood screen is a combination of original and new and the parclose screen > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/876037 to the south aisle is dated from 1526. The font is C13 Purbeck marble > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/876062. The church is open every day. For more information see: http://www.norfolkchurches.co.uk/edgefield/edgefield.htm
