Description
English: In the colombian amazon rainforest live the people Murui (wrongly known as Uitoto), and in this picture we can see part of the ritual of the making of "Mambe", a sacred dust substance made from Yarumo tree dry leaves and Coca toasted leaves. All this ritual takes part inside a Maloka, center of this indigenous' people universe, where different daily and ceremonials activities are done.
Español: En la amazonia colombia vive la gente Murui (mal conocida como Uitoto), y en esta imagen se puede observar parte del ritual del hacer el "Mambe", un polvo sagrado compuesto de hojas secas de Yarumo y de hojas de Coca tostadas. Todo este ritual sucede en la Maloka, centro del universo de este pueblo indígena, donde también se realizan diferentes actividades cotidianas y ceremoniales.
