| Description | I noticed that the first car of the tourist train was an old railcar. Now why would they put that thing there? And if the diesel engine were to run, it would come in the way of enjoying the pure chuff chuff chuff of the steam locomotive, a rarity in today's world as it is! It certainly could not have been for train heating (in hot and muggy Sabah? you must be joking!) My guess is that this railcar is probably used a a generator to power the lights and stuff inside the train. (Kota Kinabalu, East Malaysia, Nov. 2013) |
