| Description |
English: The former "Dynamic Friction" Factory This factory, then owned by Ferodo Ltd, was opened in 1962. It brought much needed work to an area blighted by the decline of the slate quarrying industry. In 1997 Ferodo (Caernarfon) was sold to an American investment company and renamed Friction Dynamics. From 2001 to 2004 there was a bitter industrial dispute at the factory, which eventually closed. During the lockout the factory became known by the locals by the name "Dynamic Friction". Parts of the site are now occupied by various other companies. |
