MOTOR CAR MBTROPOr.lTAN WEST SIDE ELEVATED RAILROAD. CHICAGO- METROPOLITAN ELEVATED CARS FORCHICAGO. The accompanying engravings are from photographsof the motor cars which have been made by the Barney& Smith Car Company, for the Metropolitan West SideElevated Railroad, of Chicago. The diagram alsoshows the floor plan. The cars are 40 feet over thesills and 47 feet 2 t^^ inches over the platforms. Themotor cars have nothing but side seats. The trailers willhave both side and cross seats, as other elevated cars.
