Bossena (blue t-shirt) got married when she was 15. She’s now divorced. “The groomsmen forced my husband to sleep with me on the night after the wedding. It was such a shock, I was so small. When I woke up in the morning I could barely walk. I was bleeding. “When my husband and I fought he used to beat me. I would run away to my parents’ house but they would send me back. This happened for a long time. Eventually my family decided that my life was worth more than the marriage.” Girls and women everywhere have the right to live free from violence and discrimination.
