Backcountry Campsite

This campsite is accessible from the Locator Lake Trailhead, located on the north shore of Kabetogama Lake. Follow the trail, 1.9-miles, to Locator Lake. A Quill canoe, stationed at the end of the Locator Lake Trail (48 32.374, -093 00.680), will be needed to reach the Quill Lake Campsite. Paddle 2-miles through Locator Lake and through War Club Lake, then portage the canoe .6-mile, to the Quill Lake (48 32.0256, -02 57.1154). Paddle.3-mile, east, campsite is located on the island. The portage trail is on the east end of War Club Lake and may be necessary to paddle through reeds and portage the canoe over a beaver dam depending on the water levels.
