Description
English: This is luxury you can afford . . . “. . . . . by Cyril Lord”. Cyril Lord was a carpet magnate in the 60’s selling carpets direct to the consumer through his own chain of shops. He had several factories in north Down one of which was in Donaghadee. After various changes in ownership it closed in 2003 and the site is now being redeveloped for warehousing. This is all that remained on 1 July 2006. The man himself died in 1984.
