Portrait of Charles Edwin Wyndham, full-length, in the uniform of a Ranger of the Forest of Dean, and his son, Thomas, in a green coat, beside a column, the base with sculpted coat-of-arms, on the terrace of a mansion, a landscape beyond The present picture is after the original picture previously in the Collection at Adare Manor. Charles Edwin Wyndham took the name of Edwin when he succeeded to his mother's property Llanvihagel, Cowbridge, Glamorgan. He was Member of Parliament for Westminster and afterwards for Glamorgan. He married Miss Pooke of Biggerweiss [?] House, Monmouth. His son, Thomas Wyndham of Dunraven Castle, Glamorgan, was also Member of Parliament for Glamorgan. He married Miss Ashley of Quenby Hall, Leicestershire. Their daughter and sole heir, Caroline, married Windham Henry, 2nd Earl of Dunraven, on 27 December 1810, and took the name of Wyndham after the marriage. 80 x 57 in.
