Description
English: In March 2, 2006 the Veneto Region of Italy and the City of Acre renewed the historic presence of the Maritime Republic of Venice in Acre, through the inauguration of the marble Lion of San Marco realized by the artist Giandomenico

Sandri - a gift of Regione Veneto - in the city's ancient Venetian Quarter. [1].

He sculptured a group made of local stone cm. 80X80x80, in S. Giovanni d' Accri; the group represent three flying doves which symbolize the three monotheistic religions.
