editDescriptionThrough the Viewfinder of a Hasselblad 500 C medium format SLR camera.jpg |
The Hassie has a really neat kind of viewfinder that actually gives you a three dimensional image. There is a translucent plate that the SLR mirror projects directly on to. This is one of two viewfinders for the Hassie. This one is much more powerful (and in 3d, so it's startlingly better than modern viewfinders for precise focus), but it is very subject to glare and thus not practical to use while walking around. |
