Summary edit

Description All MTR trains are articulated so you can see all the way down. This opens up a considerably amount of space between carriages in the articulated section which otherwise would go to waste. The trains have a huge capacity including some pairs of doors without seats in between. I don't know if these are measured on a comparable basis, but this stock has a 2,500 person capacity, compared to a Metropolitan line (S8 train) capacity of 1,500.
