English: Tilford Green This picturesque village has a large triangular green which is used for cricket. The pub in the distance is the Barley Mow and it carries a sign warning patrons to beware of cricket balls! Beyond the pub is the "King's Oak" or "Tilford Oak", an ancient tree of great girth, ca 26 feet round. The swan in the foreground is not afraid of humans, it must be very well fed! |
